White Day in Korea

In the west, couples give each other a present on Valentine’s Day. In Japan and Korea, it is custom that girls give their boy friend or male friend who they fancy a present (usually chocolate) on Valentine’s Day. Much to the benefit of the local economy, there is a day (March 14) where guys give their girl friend a gift. This day is called White Day and some convenience stores set up a stand outside to sell chocolate, teddy bears and other things to guys. With convenience stores being everywhere, there is no excuse for guys who forgot the day.
