Haeundae Beach in Busan

During our trip to Busan, we also went to Haeundae Beach. Haeundae is probably the most famous of all beaches in Korea and during the Summer season, tourists from all over the country come to Busan just to have fun at an over-crowded beach.

Today I arrived in Busan by ferry from Fukuoka. It takes only three hours by JR Beetle ferry and it was very comfortable and not as shaky as I thought it would be.

Kamakura isn’t only full of temples and shrines, but the city also has a long beach. It’s on one end of the road with Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine at the other end.

Sometimes I do travel without a fixed plan, just looking at the train/subway map and asking myself “I wonder what’s near station X?” With the JR Rail Pass, it’s included anyway, so I took a train to Atami which was the last stop of the train.

If Kawagoe is Tokyo’s Little Edo, Takehara is Hiroshima’s Little Kyoto. In this case though, it’s the town’s tourist department that calls Takehara the „Little Kyoto of Aki Province“.
