Tokyo Tower – Don’t look down!

Since I’ve never been to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower I had to go to the Tokyo Tower which is “inspired” by the Paris one. It’s 332.5 metres tall and is used for television broadcasting.There was construction work going on at the base of the tower.

There is a museum and amusement facilities in the tower but I wasn’t interested in those. I wanted to go to the observation deck (there are actually two) to get a 360 degree view of Tokyo.

The view was great. I read that on clear days you can even see Mount Fuji, but as you can see it wasn’t clear enough.

The two look down windows give visitors a thrill. Of course I had to place my feet on one to look 145m below.
